Dragon*Con: Thursday Night Dinner Edition.

Good morning! This is a type of admin post, so if you're not coming to Dragon*Con you can scroll past. We're planning to have our annual Thursday night dinner at Max Lager's (where we ate last year) at 5pm. I NEED YOU TO LET ME KNOW IF YOU PLAN ON COMING. I'm going to call this Wednesday and make the reservation, so I need to know by then. Please forward this link to anyone you might be bringing to dinner with you so they can fill out the poll and I can get an accurate head count. (If they do not have a journal and cannot vote in the poll, please have them leave a comment and let me know who they are.)

Lisa and I should get into town about the same time as Em and McKay, since we also plan on heading out about 7am. I'm hoping I'll have enough time to wait in line for the badge before dinner. Right now I'm planning on getting in line and then bailing by 4:45 if I haven't made it to the head of it and trying again after dinner. (Er, not that I expect other people to do that, that's just the thought in my head at this moment.) You have my number though, if you need to get a hold of us!

My initial estimate to the woman was 15 - 20. I think even if Sara has more than herself and H RSVP I'll stick with about 20. It's likely not everyone will show up. Or will simply drop by for a few. Of course, I'd like them ALL to prove me wrong, because it's fun. ♥

I think some people will get caught in the badge line. I figure we might wind up doing some shifts like last year when we had a couple of parties trickle in late, but some people had places to be and were leaving anyway.

PLUS PLUS PLUS it'll be 5pm which is pretty early for dinner, so I bet it won't be a hassle if we under estimate by a few.

Well 6 people's responses hinge on H's ability to skip class next Thursday so I just thought I'd throw that out there that it's not just me and H that you're potentially waiting on.

Edit: Just kidding, that number just dropped to 4. Two are definitely not attending regardless of what time we get in.

Hi, I know I'm late to the party, and depending on my health I might still have to back out, but I really want to socialize and meet people. Is it too late to RSVP?

I already made the reservation, but I don't think that it'll be a problem if one more shows up. It's highly likely not everyone who RSVPed will come, and also, chairs are really easy to steal and stick at tables. We had people trickle in late last year and the staff at the restaurant was really cool with accommodating all of us. And we all love new people!

Do you need a map to the place? And do you want my phone number? I'm gonna make a poll tomorrow where people can give me their numbers if they want to be reached. :)
