Heh. In honor of Shigure's book, "We can't go back to that summer, but we can always remember...A naughty love story unfolds", I'm renaming the NNoD. From now on it will be: "I can't take back that I killed you, twice, but at least we can fuck...A violent war story unfolds." Except that it will totally still be the NNoD, because typing all of that would be a pain. ;)

So right now the Mustang/Havoc is actually kind of romantic, in this angsty Roy sort of way, and I like it. I was going to post a poll asking if I should add porn to it, but I feel that would be the dumbest question EVER. Especially knowing you lot. So we'll see where it goes. :p

I was his first.

He told me around a mouthful of cake that I was his first real friend. His eyes spoke in silence and said that I had given him his first real kiss. Matsuda slipped up and said that Kira was his first real challenge. That I was his first challenge.

But it went the other way around as well. He was the first person that challenged my intellect. He was the first man I ever let do those things to me. He was my first true enemy.

For that time we understood each other. Hate and obsession bordered on love and no one knew L like I did. No one will ever know me the way he did. He used to lay heavy in my arms that are now empty and light. I hold the darkness close to me and shiver as I remember cold, sugared saliva traced from my collar bone down.

A line of ice works its way through me to mirror the path he used to take on the outside. It comforts me when I am alone. I’ll never let him go, because I won and by right I own him. I was his first, but I was also his last.

I love Ben Nichols' voice much more than I should. He divulged at the show that he has a duplex on Amelia Street. And considering the likelyhood that he's the kind of man who smokes outside shirtless Jess was all for going to check it out. :p Alas, we went to the meeting instead. That's dedication. Hehe.

I haven't read that far yet either. I was spoiled by some stupid website and I just sat here and went, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" for a good minute or so lol. Poor L. I love him. You're right, he's totally awkward, but so brilliant and so cute. I love Raito, but L is definitely my favourite.

I have a serious love/hate thing going with Raito. I mean, he's a manipulative bastard, and I LOVE manipulative bastards, but some of the things he does are a little more vindictive than I'm used to. Even IN bastards. :p

I think my problem is that I can't get over him having the same voice as Tamaki Suou. Especially when he goes into Hardcore Super Raito Manipulative Mode, and his voice gets all high and airy like Tamaki's...ahahaha oh Raito. I love him because he's just so in over his head. I love watching him try and reign in his freak-outs, and coming up with plans more grand and involved than the last. He's definitely a bastard, and he scares me a lot of the time, but I can't help but love him.

With the Manga? Sadly, not very far. I only have the first two volumes because I am a poor student who can't even afford her textbooks this semester, let alone DN manga *cries*. I'm all caught up on the anime, though! And by all caught up I mean I've watched them as far as they've been subbed...waiting on 15 right now.

His name is Raito in the Japanese and the scans I'm reading didn't translate the name over to Light. I'm pretty fond of Raito as a name though, so I stubbornly hold on to it. :p

I just kept this page in my bookmarks because I adore the drawble you wrote.
I finished reading teh manga, now I'm having a try and understand the anime without any subtitles... and you do know how to... borrow an entire universe from an author and make a different story/plot/pairing that could fit the canon. You're so talented!

Oh, sorry, that was confusing. Not MY version of Cowboy Bebop, the DVD set that I have. I think it has a French voice over. I am working on a chaptered Cowboy Bebop fic though, if you're just that bored. :p Chapter three should be up soon, provided I actually sit down and edit it. Irg.

I'm sure if you got Kaori Yuki manga they'll release Death Note eventually. It seems to be much more mainstream.
