Angel Sanctuary drabble

I bought Angel Sanctuary 15 last night to read on the plane. It is the best one yet, at least in my opinion. And right now I would about kill to find out what happens. But since I don't read Japanese I'll just have to wait. *sigh* But one of comments made by Michael tugged at my gut so this came out. And I have nowhere to post it, so I'll post it here. Sucks to be you guys. :p

“What went on between that boy and my brother?”

Setsuna Mudo, the incarnation of organic angel Alexiel, we all know the things that went on between him and his sister. If my brother was posing as his friend, how can I believe that Setsuna left him alone? Is Setsuna’s traitorous appetite as insatiable as Sevothtarte has led all of heaven to believe?

But even if it was nothing, if my brother was just protecting Alexiel, how much did that boy receive that I longed for? Every smile Kira gave to Setsuna was a betrayal. Every kind word or turn of the eye fell far from its proper destination. All I did was adore my brother, and it’s left me stunted in more ways than physical stature.

Out of adoration and respect I will take up Lucifer’s charge. I will help Setsuna Mudo because the future of heaven is at stake. But if I learn that there was so much as a batted eyelash between them that was meant for more than mere brotherly affection, heaven help us both.

And probably more glad that I didn't just circumvent both and scrawl it on the wall in blood. Mostly because blood is a bitch to get off of white walls.
