This is the mix I created for adellyna's mix exchange. My prompt was: Something that evokes an adventure, a chase, being on the run. I would like to apologize to the recipient, because I don't have a lot of britpop/rock (though I'm always willing to take suggestions for new music!) I hope that this is sufficiently interesting, nonetheless.

i did! i had the chance to listen to it all the way through, and i love most of it. theres a couple of songs that arent my taste but the rest <333

what surprised me was ryan adams! and i have another version of terrible things, also by april smith. i like this one better though, its got more oomph

It is kind of an odd mix, so I wouldn't be surprised if I was the only one who really liked all of it, but I'm glad some of it did suit you. ♥

That Ryan Adams song has always kind of surprised me too, honestly. I always viewed him as...softer, somehow. And that's the version of Terrible Things from her album. I don't have any others! How different is the version you have?

Oh my gods ♥ This was absolutely awesome, and just such a rollick. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THE REQUEST seriously, I am completely in love. So, so fun, and it perfectly evokes the atmosphere of a wild chase/escape/run around town. Just glorious.

As for britpop/britrock, may I recommend Stornoway? And from Scotland, Idlewild and Biffy Clyro. Stornoway, I've had most of their songs on loop at one point or another. From Idlewild, I especially adore "Younger than America" and "No Emotion". And Biffy Clyro's "Bubbles" and "The Captain".

Yay! I'm really pleased you enjoyed it. I was worried because I didn't think I had anything that you wanted. ♥

You know, my boyfriend has been listening to Biffy Clyro lately and I do enjoy that, so I will probably nab it from him. But I will definitely add Stormaway and Idlewild to the list of bands to check out. I feel like I may have heard of Idlewild somewhere, but I'm not always the most observant of bears. ;)

Oh, no, it was totally up my alley! I probably could have worded my makes better, actually, since ah. ♥ instrumentals and rock in general, and I will forever love the 60s and 70s and even the 80s. And foreign music, too! The Italian piece was just brill, I adored it so. I just do not understand most of modern day's rap and hip hop sensations. T^Td

And awesome! Always fun to get new people to check out bands I like. /o/
