Yuki is totally a tool. XD Kidding, kidding -- I like Yuki. Along with half the other characters. >.< I should mention, too, that Yuki is the rat, which traditionally has a favored position/closer relationship with the god (Akito). Lucky him!
I'm pretty sure shojo is for teenage girls, with josei being targeted at older (say, college-aged) women. I wouldn't say it was all mind-fucky, but I haven't read all that much shojo, really. And do you mean mind-fucky as in the plot makes you go WTF???, or mind-fucky as in psychological abuse?
I used to read in the car too, until a trooper yelled at me over his loudspeaker thing from the next lane over. Damn cops... >.>
