puppetmaker40, had a stroke several days ago. By the accounts I've seen from PuppetMaker herself and other comics professionals around the net, his recovery seems to be moving along, but he's going to require quite a bit of after care that is normal for these situations. They have health insurance, but any of you in the US know that there are just some things health insurance won't cover and that co-payments can really add up. The family has asked the internet to spread the word about how we can help them in this time by purchasing Peter's works and supporting his creator owned stuff (which he will see the most money from). I'm going to copy and past from the blog at his site concerning what to get and where to find them. ( Cool things you can get here! )
Please help if you can when you can. I know that personally, his writing has brought me much joy over the years, and I think that it's important to take care of our creators and voices. If you can't or wouldn't like to give money, I'm going to echo the entreaty to please just share this in your public spaces and let other people see it.
