I'm not feeling particularly eloquent, after fighting with words all bloody day, but suffice it to say that I am not a fan of theocracy. Most of the time I'm not even a fan of our brand of democracy, but that's neither here nor there. I don't have anything against religion, and I don't white wash all of it's practitioners with the same brush, but there is a particular type of religious hypocrite that I can't stand. They are usually not tolerant (of any number of things: gay people, interacial marriages, poor people, chubby people...), and they are always outspoken, bigoted, and ignorant. I think these people give Christians, and religious people in general, a bad name. Unfortunately for theocracy, these are the type of people who make it in politics. And that my friends, is the rub. *sigh*
