The tale of Jamie and Claire is brutal, to say things were happy for them...yes and no. It is so well-done, their story, and Gabaldon pulls no punches re: reality, and Claire's story (she is the focus, not the romance) that I am sitting here wanting to reread the damn thing myself. LOL. It is a long, unwindy tale that isn't boring one whit.
Funny thing--I was such an innocent back when I read it, I didn't get a very important aspect of the tale referencing to your friend up there's buggering comment. LOL. Oy! Such a ditz.
I'll seeee on D*C. Depends on finances, honestly--with TWO kids in university? I am scared to death of how we're going to do this. Not so much Tiff anymore, but Kelly. Hopefully being a poor widow single mum will be the key. I hope.
