The thing is
1) "Rampa" doesn't sound as pretty as "Crowley". It sounds dusty.
2) There is no way in the world that Crowley would give himself a name like that. His personality doesn't allow it to happen.
3) Proper nouns shouldn't be translated; they should be footnoted.
P.S.: This reminds of the Wood --> Dubois translation in Harry Potter...
