Oh, I completely forgot to sum you what happened on vol.5!... And when reading it, I realized I understood things here and there but I'm unable to tell you the plot all in all.... I'm sorry. :(((
But what I can tell you is... the first sequence, Castrato, is about the Count Grandstone (spelling?), and you imediately notice it's the bad guy of the story. He of course wants to have everyone udner his control, and Dr. Jezabel will be his favourite "meal", if you see what I mean. *g*
There's always a beautiful lady with this Count. Look carefully at her, you'll see there's something interesting...
And he despises a lot Riff, it seems. He tries once to hypnotize Cain, but fails. This doens't prevent him from trying a second time and this time he did manage to do it! and he orders Cain to kill Riff! OMG!
Thanks to a very curious strategy, Riff is not killed by Cain, but it was close enough. You'll learn then the true identity of the beautiful lady (this quite surprised me when I read it!:)
I won't tell you the end, but Dr. Jezabel would quite suffer (not physically!)... If I translate correclty, of course.
